Senior Data Insights Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and present ongoing local and regional insights that reveal significant trends, risks, and opportunities across various markets.

• Convert insights and inquiries into actionable implications for the GII strategic plan, emphasizing areas that require focus, adjustments, or further analysis.

• Construct analytical findings into clear narratives that articulate "what / why / so what" to directly support leadership decision-making, collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts as necessary.

• Collaborate with strategy and functional leaders to identify priority questions that should guide planning, execution, and trade-off discussions.

• Develop executive-ready materials (briefs, slide presentations, narratives) that facilitate strategic discussions and alignment.

• Maintain a proactive stance by recognizing emerging signals that could impact future performance or strategic assumptions.

• Design and execute both ad hoc and regular analyses that consolidate multiple data sources into coherent, defensible insights.

• Process and verify data to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and correct interpretation before delivering insights.

• Analyze performance drivers, anomalies, and trends to transition from descriptive reporting to explanatory insights.

• Employ strong analytical judgment when handling incomplete or imperfect data, clearly articulating limitations and assumptions.

• Create clear, impactful visualizations and presentations that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Gather and synthesize incoming data inquiries across the Data COE, pinpointing common themes and underlying root questions.

• Minimize fragmented, one-off analyses by linking related requests into more comprehensive focus areas that merit deeper exploration.

• Advise on where to prioritize in-depth analyses versus lighter reviews based on strategic significance and decision-making value.

• Organize and lead cross-functional working sessions with subject matter experts to interpret insights and rigorously evaluate conclusions.

• Convert discussions into actionable next steps, assigning ownership and follow-up questions to ensure insights drive action.

• Record insights and learnings to ensure that analysis builds over time rather than being repeated or rediscovered.

• Assist with urgent leadership requests through rapid-turn analysis and concise synthesis, ensuring alignment with broader strategic themes.

• Occasionally support presentations, briefings, or workshops where clarity in insight translation and narrative is essential.

• Engage in internal meetings and planning sessions, contributing to team coordination and knowledge sharing.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field with an emphasis on data analytics—or equivalent experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in analytics, consulting, project management, or similar roles.

• Proficient analytics and data manipulation skills, with the capability to transform raw data into clear, defensible insights.

• Extensive experience in creating presentations and visualizations (PowerPoint required; Power BI strongly preferred).

• Proven ability to craft compelling data narratives that translate analysis into clear implications and actionable steps for leaders.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills; adept at managing multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders efficiently.

• Comfortable navigating through ambiguity and synthesizing information from diverse questions, datasets, and viewpoints.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities; capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical partners and influencing decision-making.
