This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and execute the comprehensive data and AI governance roadmap, establishing policies, standards, and roles (Data Owners/Stewards) in alignment with DAMA-DMBOK frameworks.
• Mentor junior and mid-level analysts and Analytics Engineers in performing governance functions.
• Manage the data catalog (Unity Catalog / OpenMetadata) and oversee access management (RBAC), ensuring the infrastructure is conducive to governance.
• Maintain Data and AI Governance documentation and promote its utilization among data-consuming teams.
• Create observability frameworks, manage costs (FinOps) within the analytics sandbox, and establish SLAs and metrics (KPIs) to aid leadership in decision-making.
• Spearhead regulatory and privacy initiatives (BACEN, LGPD), assist in audits, and ensure the integrity and lineage of regulatory data.
• Establish governance standards for predictive and generative AI to promote ethical and responsible usage.
• Foster data literacy and support the self-service BI model.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing governance policies, processes, standards, access management, and compliance in data and AI.
• Extensive knowledge of Data Lakehouse environments, Databricks, and Unity Catalog.
• Proficient in relational/multidimensional data modeling, advanced SQL, and Data Mesh/Ops and medallion architectures.
• Experience in defining and constructing KPIs and dashboards using Power BI, Lakeview, Metabase, and AI/BI tools.
• Familiarity with hub-and-spoke models.
• Practical knowledge of data management frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK or similar).
• Understanding of information security best practices and LGPD as they apply to the data lifecycle.
• Awareness of Generative AI applications.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to negotiate and manage priorities across different teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline.
