📋 Description

• Establish the organization's data vision: guide Arco in utilizing data for decision-making, operations, and growth.

• Make informed platform choices when necessary, without being limited to a specific tool.

• Bridge the gap between data and business decisions: serve as a liaison between the data function and leaders in Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Product.

• Oversee a large-scale organization: manage a team of approximately 43 professionals through seven direct reports.

• Promote data accessibility through AI: spearhead a clear agenda to empower business units with AI tools.

• Treat the function as a product: set quarterly OKRs and health metrics.

• Elevate the team's technical and analytical standards: engage in final interviews and influence training investments.

• Prepare for future growth: collaboratively develop the vision and structure to integrate Data Science, Data Analytics, and Business Analytics with company leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated deep technical knowledge in data: a proven history of designing and managing analytical solutions at scale, with informed views on dimensional modeling, advanced SQL, modern data transformation, cloud analytics platforms, and orchestration architectures.

• Strong business insight: a demonstrated ability to convert commercial, financial, and operational contexts into pertinent analytical inquiries, with a critical understanding of metrics, contribution margins, unit economics, and strategic trade-offs.

• Background in advanced analytics: experience in applying or overseeing statistical and modeling techniques beyond descriptive reporting, including experimentation and A/B testing, causal analysis, predictive modeling, and segmentation.

• Platform and democratization mindset: understanding of the evolution of mature data functions — data contracts, semantic layers, observability, self-service, governance, and AI tools that enhance autonomy.

• Experience in managing large teams: previous experience leading technical and analytical teams of substantial size, with direct accountability for performance, senior hiring, and career development.

• Executive-level communication in two languages: structured written communication skills in both Portuguese and English.

• Experience in complex environments: familiarity with organizations that have multiple lines of business or extensive technical domains, frequently making prioritization decisions among competing demands.
