Senior Data Engineer, SQL DBA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

• Create and manage database schemas, indexes, and partitions to facilitate scalability and operational efficiency.

• Conduct database monitoring, backup procedures, recovery processes, and disaster recovery strategy development.

• Apply security best practices, including access management, encryption protocols, and auditing processes.

• Diagnose database performance challenges and refine query efficiency.

• Maintain compliance with data governance, security regulations, and industry standards.

• Engage in daily standups, prioritize assignments, and align with business requirements.

• Guide team members and promote best practices in data management and reporting.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Significant hands-on experience with contemporary AI models and developer tools to enhance software delivery speed and quality.

• Proficient in assessing AI output quality, selecting appropriate models/tools for tasks, and employing secure practices for sensitive data.

• Demonstrated ability to develop practical automation that minimizes manual tasks while ensuring quality, security, and auditability.
