This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders based in the U.S. to design and define solutions. Identify strategies that address business challenges, converting requirements into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
• Code and implement the proposed solutions.
• Develop data pipelines, along with versioning and change management practices.
• Navigate the complexities associated with versioned data pipelines.
• Create ETL/ELT processes to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
• Design, construct, and uphold batch or real-time data pipelines in a production environment.
• Automate data workflows, including tasks such as data ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing.
• Log and instrument pipelines and services.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through rigorous quality control procedures.
• Proven expertise with at least 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar position.
• Proficient in SQL with extensive experience in relational databases and database design.
• Familiarity with cloud Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).
• Strong Python programming skills with practical experience in libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Experience with Big Data technologies including Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.
• Skilled in data pipeline and workflow management tools, e.g., Airflow.
• Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and AWS QuickSight.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP data engineering services.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EMR, GLUE ETL, Athena, RDS, Redshift, EC2, IAM.

• Knowledge of Azure services including ADF, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL DB.
• Significant experience with Data Lakes and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to mentor fellow data engineers.
• High level of English proficiency required for direct interaction with U.S.-based clients.
