Senior Data Engineer, Hadoop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain efficient data pipelines, establishing workflows that gather, transform, and load data from diverse sources.

• Safeguard data security and integrity, protecting sensitive information and ensuring adherence to LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).

• Work alongside analytics and data science teams to grasp requirements and implement effective solutions.

• Develop tools to enhance data management and analysis.

• Optimize queries and improve database performance, ensuring both efficiency and scalability.

• Implement scalable solutions for data storage.

• Monitor and resolve issues in data infrastructure, including failures and bottlenecks.

• Document data processes and workflows thoroughly.

• Keep abreast of trends and technologies in data engineering to apply the best solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer with a robust foundation in data engineering.

• Strong logical reasoning and ability to tackle complex challenges.

• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Apache NiFi.

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.

• Understanding of data modeling, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

• Experience with database management systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent documentation skills and adherence to best practices in data architecture.

• Ability to collaborate within a team and communicate effectively.

• Knowledge of data security protocols, protection against unauthorized access, and compliance with regulations.

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
