Senior Data Engineer, GN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will design and take ownership of the architecture for our comprehensive data platform, encompassing ingestion, transformation, and serving layers.

• You will spearhead the development of resilient data pipelines utilizing Fivetran, Airbyte, and Python, establishing engineering standards for the team.

• You will promote data modeling excellence in Databricks by leveraging advanced SQL, dbt, and data quality frameworks such as Elementary.

• You will define and uphold data quality standards, ensuring dependable data marts that support business-critical decision-making.

• You will serve as the technical lead, collaborating closely with the Product Owner and Business Insights team to address complex data challenges.

• You will manage and enhance our cloud infrastructure on AWS, advocating for infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform (IaC).

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess several years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a cloud-native setting.

• You are skilled in SQL, Python, dbt, and Git, with a solid track record of constructing production-grade pipelines.

• You have experience with cloud platforms (AWS is preferred) and tools such as Databricks, Fivetran, or Airbyte.

• You have a thorough understanding of data modeling, data warehouse design, and best practices in data quality.

• You are an effective communicator capable of bridging the divide between engineering and business stakeholders.

• You are self-motivated, take full ownership from start to finish, and excel in a remote, asynchronous work environment.
