Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members to establish requirements and convert them into scalable data models and pipelines.

• Design and sustain ELT pipelines, ensuring data reliability and scalability for business reporting and analytics applications.

• Process raw data and convert it into structured, usable formats for analytics and reporting.

• Create and enhance SQL-based data models using dbt and various ETL tools.

• Identify and implement enhancements in data delivery, processing performance, and overall system efficiency.

• Contribute to the team's technical vision and introduce innovative solutions to improve data systems.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to promote standardization and consistency in product data modeling, schemas, and insights reporting across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in a quantitative field, such as analytics, engineering, applied mathematics, or statistics.

• A degree (BS/BA or equivalent experience) is preferred.

• Experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, specifically in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes within big data environments.

• Extensive knowledge of SQL, particularly concerning data modeling and analysis.

• Practical experience with dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake.

• Familiarity with cloud columnar databases (Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake), as well as experience in query authoring (SQL) and various database systems.

• Proven track record in performance testing, capacity planning, and cost optimization for large-scale, complex data pipelines and systems.

• Experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar data visualization tools.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

• An insatiable intellectual curiosity - you are self-driven and eager to ask questions to learn and develop.

• Experience in fast-paced and scaled B2B Tech companies is a plus.
