Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain high-throughput data pipelines for both batch and streaming tasks.

• Collaborate on data model design and validate these models with backend teams during the initiation phase.

• Ensure a sustainable architecture and maintain data integrity while educating stakeholders across Yubo about these challenges.

• Work in close partnership with ML engineers to supply clean, ML-ready datasets.

• Guarantee data quality, availability, and the sequence of entry at volumes exceeding 300k database entries per second, while engineering methods to enhance scalability.

• Clearly document pipelines, transformations, and architecture for future developers and yourself (you’ll appreciate it later).

⛳️ Requirements

• You have over 7 years of experience building and scaling production data pipelines.

• You possess extensive expertise in Kafka and a profound understanding of parallelization and event sequencing for large data volumes (millions of events daily).

• You are skilled in SQL and Python.

• You’re comfortable taking ownership of the data model from architectural documentation to deployment.

• You have a passion for pragmatic problem-solving and know how to balance user needs with the performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of high-throughput systems.

• You are at ease working primarily in English, both in writing and speaking.
