Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Enhance and optimize Wurl’s data ETL workflows, improve Business Intelligence dashboards (both internal and external), and refine data processes with a focus on scalability, security, maintainability, and validation.

• Oversee data warehousing operations and manage internal/external monitoring, alerts, and reporting.

• Serve as a representative of the data team and collect requirements from internal stakeholders, including data science and sales teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience working with data warehouses.

• Proficient in Python and possess exceptional SQL abilities.

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Demonstrated expertise in constructing, deploying, and managing large-scale ETL/ELT processes, along with implementing CI/CD pipelines and orchestrating data workflows using Apache Airflow.

• Experience in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and security measures.

• Strong leadership qualities in engineering.

• Familiarity with professional coding standards, version control systems, bug tracking, agile methodologies, etc.

• Experience with SaaS solutions, particularly Snowflake; knowledge of containerization, serverless processes, and microservices architectures is desired.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-powered code editors, such as Cursor.

• Preferred: Experience with Databricks, streaming ad delivery, ad campaign management, supply and demand integration, OTT streaming formats (HLS, DASH), and SSAI architectures.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
