Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable data solutions for a comprehensive digital transformation project.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data architects, and technical teams.

• Construct dependable data pipelines.

• Integrate a variety of data sources.

• Provide reliable, analytics-ready datasets.

• Engage extensively with the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of practical experience with Python and SQL in data engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience utilizing Azure services, including Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Azure networking.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Delta Lake.

• At least 3 years of experience in designing data solutions and creating trustworthy, analytics-ready datasets.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with version control systems such as Git.

• At least 1 year of experience using AI tools for code generation, data analysis, automation, optimization, or related data engineering tasks.

• Strong grasp of data engineering principles, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data pipelines.

• Proficient SQL development and data transformation capabilities.

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and contemporary data architectures.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
