Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and utilize data pipelines, data models, reporting, and dashboards to address business challenges or assigned projects in collaboration with various teams.

• Create and sustain data solutions to support new or existing initiatives and BI development for the data warehouse and data visualization tools.

• Improve and document workflows for intricate data-related issues by detecting patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data, and explore methods to enhance data processing and storage to ensure data quality through automation.

• Attain expertise in various WellSky solutions and become a subject matter expert in the healthcare sector.

• Spot opportunities during code reviews and aid in establishing best practices and coding standards.

• Uphold WellSky's core values, guarantee PHI data security, and adapt to evolving BI technologies.

• Utilize AI tools and platforms as a fundamental aspect of daily tasks to improve decision-making, streamline operations, and foster data-driven results.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

• 4-6 years of pertinent work experience.

• Proficient SQL skills with practical experience in developing and supporting data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.

• Experience with SQL Server data integration and ETL development (including SSIS or equivalent).

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services, ideally within GCP environments.

• Experience in Snowflake data warehouse development and management (preferred).

• Knowledge of DBT for ELT/ETL processes, data modeling, testing, and documentation (preferred).

• Expertise in GCP, particularly with Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and DataStream (preferred).

• Experience with data replication tools such as HVR (or similar CDC/replication technologies) (preferred).

• Background in supporting BI/reporting environments like Tableau through well-structured, high-performance datasets (preferred).

• Experience in the healthcare industry (preferred).
