Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Macedonia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable data platforms and pipelines across various cloud environments (Azure/Fabric, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake)

• Provide high-quality datasets that facilitate analytics, machine learning, causal modeling, and optimization systems

• Create scalable logical and physical data models for both analytical and operational use cases

• Implement contemporary architecture patterns, including event-driven and streaming architectures

• Establish robust data observability, which includes monitoring data freshness, pipeline reliability, and adherence to SLAs

• Enable data serving layers (APIs, feature inputs, analytical endpoints) to support downstream systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Delta Lake

• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL

• Demonstrated experience in constructing both batch and streaming data pipelines

• Strong comprehension of data modeling, data quality, and governance principles

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure/Fabric, AWS, or GCP

• Familiarity with contemporary data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake

• Experience with lakehouse architectures and distributed data systems

• In-depth understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance considerations in data pipelines

• Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on scalability and reliability

• Experience in Agile or consulting environments is an advantage.
