This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will join a team dedicated to assisting both new and existing clients with their data engineering requirements.
• You will provide guidance to clients to help them make informed technical choices to realize their objectives.
• You will engage with multiple customer accounts, necessitating tracking and reporting on their progress.
• You will design, construct, and implement intricate data solutions, troubleshoot issues, apply transformations, and suggest data cleansing and quality strategies.
• You will evaluate data sources to assess their value and recommend data inclusion in analytical processes.
• You will integrate essential data management skills, encompassing data governance, security, and quality.
• You will work collaboratively within and across teams to facilitate delivery and educate end users on data products and analytical environments.
• You will conduct data and system analysis, assessing and resolving defects and incidents of moderate complexity, making corrections as necessary.
• You will validate data movement, transformation code, and data components.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering and data product development.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following:
• Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Experience with the Databricks platform - expertise in data engineering and/or ML ops is a significant plus.
• Knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, HPO).
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
• Strong understanding of the complete data analytics workflow.
• Proven domain expertise with the ability to grasp technical concepts and possess comprehensive knowledge of the immediate systems worked on.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership - Intermediate leadership capabilities with a proven history of self-motivation in pursuing personal development opportunities.
• Outstanding time management and prioritization skills. Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
• Preferred: Databricks Certification.
