Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines, ensuring integrity, performance, and availability.

• Work on the ingestion, transformation, and integration of data from various internal and external sources.

• Actively participate in the evolution of the data architecture, applying contemporary architecture principles such as Lakehouse, data layering, and distributed processing.

• Construct data infrastructures that accommodate growth, new products, and analytical demands while ensuring security and governance.

• Support analytical data modeling, ensuring that technical structures effectively support business metrics and KPIs.

• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts to facilitate consistent, reusable, and high-performance models.

• Ensure that data provided for analytical purposes adheres to quality and traceability standards.

• Implement and enhance pipeline monitoring and automated data validations, troubleshooting as needed.

• Embrace best practices for data testing, versioning, and technical documentation.

• Serve as a technical lead, fostering team development and the adoption of engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in data engineering, particularly with relational and non-relational databases.

• Solid background in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines in production settings.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Python.

• Familiarity with PySpark and cloud data platforms such as Databricks or equivalent Lakehouse environments.

• Analytical and proactive disposition with a strong sense of ownership and results orientation.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
