This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
β’ Take ownership of the data warehouse (currently structured in a Snowflake model, utilizing a modern stack), along with the modeling and transformation layer (dbt).
β’ Revise and strengthen the admin API data flows β currently identified as a significant source of technical debt.
β’ Develop and manage production pipelines on AWS β employing Python and SQL, ensuring adequate observability and testing.
β’ Collaborate with backend engineers to provide clean, reliable data at the source instead of retrofitting it downstream.
β’ Act as a liaison between Engineering and Product to ensure the right data is available for achieving customer outcomes.
β’ Participate in backend feature development where data and product intersect (telemetry, instrumentation, data-aware features).
β’ Integrate within the engineering team β you are a data specialist who operates as an engineer, not part of a separate analytics function.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data engineering role, preferably with time spent at a B2B SaaS or product startup.
β’ Proficient in Python and SQL β these are core programming languages; if either is lacking, the remainder will not be viable.
β’ Practical experience in deploying and managing data pipelines in a production environment on AWS.
β’ Familiarity with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift) β while specific technology is not mandatory, expertise in at least one is essential.
β’ Hands-on experience with DBT or a similar transformation framework.
β’ Proficiency in backend engineering β capable of reading and contributing to backend code to resolve data issues at the source.
β’ Comfortable working within a small, dynamic team where you take ownership of outcomes from start to finish.
β’ Competitive salary and stock options β everyone participates in the success of what we are building.
β’ 25 days of holiday plus public holidays.
β’ Pension contribution.
β’ Fully equipped setup from day one (no delays in receiving laptops).
β’ Regular company offsites and team social events.
β’ A flat, transparent culture with direct access to leadership.
