Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the data pipeline process from end to end – including the construction and maintenance of production pipelines, as well as the integration of new data sources.

• Create new components for data pipelines as we enhance and modernize our data workflows.

• Clean and phase out outdated services.

• Sustain and enhance the existing infrastructure.

• Integrate publicly available data sources.

• Prepare data science work for production deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering.

• Proficient in Python at a production level, beyond basic scripts or notebooks.

• Skilled in SQL, with a comfort level in handling complex queries, schema design, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Docker, having deployed containerized services rather than just executing them locally.

• Experience with pandas or data manipulation (preferred).

• Knowledge of AWS services (any level – including Lambda, S3, ECS).

• Experience with Terraform or CDK.

• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Argo, Airflow, Prefect, or similar.

• Previous experience in regulated or data-sensitive sectors (life sciences, healthcare, finance).
