Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Serves as the Data Lead for both new and existing clients with significant ETL/ELT needs.

• Develop and manage pipelines for data importation.

• Ensure client adherence to applicable Australian self-insurance regulatory standards during and post migrations/transformations.

• Collaborate with Sales, Implementation Consultants, and other key stakeholders to communicate with clients regarding the scope of data initiatives.

• Document and convey client data challenges and suggested solutions to pertinent stakeholders.

• Revise and enhance ETL/ELT processes based on business feedback.

• Provide assistance for data corrections during the project phase and following Go-Live.

• Profile all newly received client data promptly.

• Design, implement, and refine data validation processes.

• Identify opportunities for enhancement in data operations, including ETL/ELT optimization.

• Automate and streamline data ingestion and transformation workflows.

• Enhance documentation and Internal Knowledge Base resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, etc.

• Familiarity with custom data handling tools.

• Knowledge of ETL frameworks.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.

• Understanding of data modeling and warehousing principles.

• Strong grasp of data governance, data security, and compliance regulations.
