Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive data pipelines that gather, process, transform, and load data from diverse sources into a cloud environment.

• Work alongside data architects and stakeholders to guarantee the scalability, reliability, and performance of the pipelines.

• Design intricate data transformation logic for analysis and reporting purposes.

• Construct and enhance ETL processes to maintain data quality and integrity.

• Partner with client stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and provide actionable insights.

• Lead a team of data engineers by offering technical direction and mentorship.

• Keep abreast of advancements in cloud technology and data engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer, particularly in cloud-based environments.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including practical experience with relevant services.

• Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

• Proficient in Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps.

• Knowledge of Azure Data Storage Gen2.

• Familiarity with Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.

• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing principles.

• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, along with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to resolve complex data engineering challenges.

• Proven leadership skills with the capability to guide and mentor junior team members.

• Relevant Microsoft Azure data certifications are advantageous.
