This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines capable of managing the volume and complexity of data while ensuring scalability, accuracy, availability, observability, security, and optimal performance.
• Create and sustain data warehouse tables, views, and models for use by analysts and downstream applications.
• Take ownership and lead workstreams, driving results either independently or through your team.
• Engage in regular data engineering tasks, such as monthly insights reporting and data profile updates.
• Resolve production issues and participate in on-call support activities.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing data engineering processes and share insights with the team.
• Continuously contribute to the development of our data platform, which encompasses data pipelines and data warehouse layers.
• Independently manage and lead workstreams, whether related to routine data engineering tasks or roadmap support activities.
• Enhance your understanding and develop subject matter expertise within our data and ecosystem.
• Your contributions have significantly advanced our implementation of the data platform strategy and key initiatives that support the company's growth.
• You have established yourself as a vital team member with expertise in data engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 6 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines for both streaming and batch processing.
• A software engineering mindset, adhering to principles of source control, infrastructure as code, testing, modularity, automation, CI/CD, and observability.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Snowflake, Postgres, DBT, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Experience with Google Analytics, marketing, advertising and social media platforms, CRM/Salesforce, and JSON data; familiarity with government datasets and geo-spatial data is a plus.
• Understanding of the modern data platform and its essential components, including ingestion, transformation, curation, quality, governance, and delivery.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques such as 3NF, Dimensional, and Vault.
• Self-motivated, analytical problem solver with keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for thorough documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile product management principles is an advantage.
