This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes for the ingestion, transformation, and loading of data into the data platform.
• Collaborate with the Lead Architect and Cloud Engineer to ensure seamless integration of data services within the cloud infrastructure.
• Create data models and schemas to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Establish data quality and validation processes to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of data.
• Enhance data processes and queries for improved performance and scalability.
• Partner with business stakeholders to comprehend their data needs and offer insights and solutions for data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to equip them with the necessary data and tools for developing revenue-generating insights and models.
• Enforce data governance and security measures to ensure data privacy and adherence to regulations.
• Stay informed about the latest data technologies and trends, providing recommendations for technology adoption and enhancements.
• Strong understanding of Azure data tools, particularly Databricks.
• Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer, specifically with Azure data services.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling concepts and both relational and non-relational databases.
• Proficiency in SQL along with experience in data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage).
• Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage.
• Understanding of data governance and best practices in data security.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to function effectively within a team environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a bonus.
• Comfortable solving problems independently as well as collaboratively.
• Proactive in reaching out to stakeholders and colleagues to resolve issues and clarify concerns.
