Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.

📋 Description

• In the role of Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our data team, tasked with the design, construction, and upkeep of the data infrastructure and pipelines that facilitate our data-driven decision-making.

• You will work alongside cross-functional teams to guarantee the availability, reliability, and accessibility of our data assets, allowing our organization to derive actionable insights and deliver impactful solutions.

• Estimated travel time, both nationally and internationally, varies based on project/client and organizational requirements: approximately 0%-15%.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in SQL and SQL-like query languages as an expert developer.

• Extensive expertise in Python, along with experience in organizing Python-based projects.

• Significant experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

• Comprehensive experience with ETL and ELT processes.

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms, specifically Azure or AWS, and associated services.

• Strong understanding of various data modeling methodologies, including Kimball, Inmon, and Data Vault.

• **Nice to have:**

• Experience in defining and developing automated unit and integration testing frameworks for data projects.

• Background as a Business Intelligence and Business Analyst.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.

• Familiarity with visualization tools.

• Knowledge of data governance practices.

• Experience with Snowflake.

• Proficient in CI/CD automation, particularly using GitLab.

• Involvement in integrating data platforms with observability tools.

• Exceptional collaborator who tailors communication for diverse audiences and ensures effective interaction between developers, partners, and leadership.
