Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Python, SQL, Snowflake, Dagster, dbt, and AWS.

• Take ownership of end-to-end data engineering projects from data ingestion to analytics enablement.

• Create and optimize reliable SQL-based data models.

• Establish a robust staging and testing environment for data modifications prior to production.

• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and data quality across essential pipelines.

• Contribute to initiatives focused on Change Data Capture (CDC) and lower-latency data movement.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

• Engage in code reviews and elevate engineering standards within the team.

• Partner with fellow engineers and provide support to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive data engineering experience at a senior individual contributor level.

• Strong foundation in software engineering and production-grade engineering practices.

• Highly skilled in Python and SQL within real-world data engineering contexts.

• Familiarity with modern data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, Airflow, AWS, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of data modeling principles.

• Experience with testing, monitoring, alerting, and ensuring data quality.

• Background in a startup or scale-up environment with significant ownership and ambiguity.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Must reside in the UK.

• Full right to work in the UK.
