Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure utilizing our primary data stack.

• Execute data quality checks, oversee monitoring, and contribute to data governance initiatives.

• Create and enhance data models using dbt for analytics and operational scenarios.

• Diagnose data issues, possibly assisting with tracking implementation challenges.

• Ensure that data infrastructure meets the needs of downstream users, including analytics and potential future AI/ML projects.

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to guarantee data accessibility for visualization and operational synchronization (Hightouch).

• Enhance the performance and cost-effectiveness of the data platform.

• Mentor team members and advocate for data engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering, with substantial hands-on expertise in modern data stack tools.

• Advanced SQL skills, proficient in Python for data engineering tasks, and a solid foundation in data modeling and warehousing.

• Demonstrated experience with orchestration tools (e.g., mage.ai, Airflow), dbt, and ELT solutions (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte).

• Familiarity with a cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Proven history of building and maintaining reliable, end-to-end data pipelines in a production environment.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
