Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and create real-time and batch data pipelines to support high-volume data workloads.

• Develop scalable systems for data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and delivery.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of data pipelines, encompassing development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

• Enhance data quality, observability, reliability, and operational performance across data platforms.

• Optimize data processing systems for scalability, latency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to facilitate reporting, automation, and downstream data consumption.

• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decisions concerning data platforms.

• Engage in production support and incident response for essential data systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or backend engineering.

• Proven experience in building and managing real-time or streaming data systems.

• Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or similar platforms.

• Experience in developing distributed systems using languages like Go, Java, Python, Rust, or others.

• Proficient in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
