This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Develop and sustain trusted internal data products that facilitate analytics, AI, and operational workflows throughout Granum.
• Create and manage scalable data pipelines and platform workflows utilizing Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Terraform, and associated tools.
• Enhance data quality, validation, observability, and recoverability for essential datasets and workflows.
• Ensure semantic consistency across upstream models, downstream consumption layers, and governed business definitions.
• Design and execute governance controls, including permissions, masking, privacy-aware access patterns, and operational safeguards.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to transform unclear data requirements into dependable internal platform capabilities.
• Propel platform enhancements through automation, improved workflow design, and more robust operating practices.
• Provide technical guidance for internal data platform initiatives and elevate the quality standards for data systems.
• Embrace and contribute to agentic workflows as an integral part of standard engineering practices.
• Proven experience in building and managing data platforms within Snowflake-centric environments.
• Strong proficiency with dbt or a similar transformation framework.
• Practical experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Direct experience with a governed semantic or BI modeling layer (Omni, LookML, dbt Semantic Layer, or comparable).
• Experience in designing reliable workflows for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and scheduled operational processes, including CI/CD in GitHub.
• Strong SQL abilities and a history of creating trusted datasets.
• Demonstrated ownership of production-grade data systems, encompassing monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Capability to communicate effectively, influence decisions, and navigate ambiguous tasks to achieve completed outcomes.
• Willingness and capacity to collaborate within a team environment where agentic development is anticipated.
• Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by any organization in Canada or the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
• Nice to have: Experience with Omni or comparable governed analytics platforms.
• Nice to have: Experience in supporting AI-driven workflows, internal tools, or knowledge-centric applications.
• Nice to have: Experience with privacy, access control, and governance frameworks in contemporary cloud data platforms.
