This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate existing data architectures, data models, integrations, and data workflows.
• Define the target and transition state data architectures that are in line with business and technology strategies.
• Create architecture roadmaps that facilitate migration to Microsoft Fabric and enhance modern data platform capabilities.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Document and design comprehensive data flows, integration patterns, and data lifecycle processes.
• Analyze current systems to uncover opportunities for rationalization, modernization, and enhanced data quality.
• Collaborate with data and systems architects, enterprise architects, product managers, delivery teams, and business stakeholders.
• Establish standards, principles, and best practices for data architecture, modeling, and governance.
• Provide guidance, reviews, and recommendations to implementation teams regarding architecture.
• Assess and propose strategies for data integration, reporting, analytics, and information management.
• Contribute to the advancement of enterprise data architecture and governance practices.
• Over 10 years of experience in Data Architecture.
• Proven experience in defining current-state, transition-state, and target-state data architectures along with modernization roadmaps.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, medallion architecture, and analytics capabilities.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data modernization initiatives.
• Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Experience in designing data integration, transformation processes, and comprehensive data flows.
• Proficient in architecture and data modeling tools, preferably Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Background in business or enterprise architecture.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, and master data management.
• Knowledge of Power BI and enterprise analytics.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Meticulousness and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and adapt to evolving situations.
• Capable of interacting efficiently and courteously with all levels of staff and management.
• Leadership qualities across projects, departments, and divisions.
• Ability to work independently and provide solutions in complex enterprise settings.
• Initial 6-month contract.
