Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines (ETL/ELT) that merge internal and external sources into the FICO ecosystem.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance throughout the ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes.

• Optimize and integrate communication between the FICO ecosystem and the organization's additional data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and BI tools.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline failures, ensuring reliability and performance in production settings.

• Document data flows, data models, and processes, encouraging adherence to engineering best practices and reuse.

• Work collaboratively with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into effective data solutions.

• Contribute to the advancement of the data architecture by suggesting enhancements in performance, cost, and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering within corporate settings.

• Expertise in the FICO ecosystem, including related data models, platforms, and integrations.

• Strong command of SQL and data modeling, encompassing both relational and dimensional modeling.

• Experience with data pipelines and orchestration (ETL/ELT).

• Proficiency in data-centric programming languages, such as Python.

• Familiarity with data quality, testing, and pipeline monitoring.

• Knowledge of cloud environments and tools for data storage and distribution.

• Ability to operate in regulated, mission-critical settings with a focus on security and compliance.

• Previous experience in sectors utilizing the FICO ecosystem, such as financial services, insurance, credit, and risk analytics — a plus.

• Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and large-scale modeling — a plus.

• Familiarity with orchestration tools, such as Airflow, and distributed processing frameworks, such as Spark — a plus.

• Experience in integrating APIs and legacy systems — a plus.

• Experience with data governance, data catalogs, and data lineage — a plus.

• Certifications or further education in data engineering, cloud, or analytics — a plus.

• Knowledge of NoSQL — a plus.

• Familiarity with MongoDB — a plus.
