This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop infrastructure that empowers analytics and data science teams to create innovative and impactful solutions for clients.
• Support clients in transitioning their existing business intelligence and data warehouse solutions to Google Cloud.
• Design, create, and enhance robust data pipelines, ensuring data is easily accessible for visualization and machine learning applications.
• Design and implement new data warehouse and data mart solutions, including the transformation, testing, deployment, and documentation of data.
• Architect, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based infrastructure to guarantee high availability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with technology partners such as Google Cloud, Snowflake, dbt, and Looker, mastering their technologies and building connections with their engineers.
• Work in an agile and dynamic environment alongside a team of data engineers, BI analysts, data scientists, and machine learning experts.
• Apply software engineering best practices to analytics processes, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.
• 4+ years of experience in a data-related position (e.g., Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer).
• Practical experience with Looker, dbt, modern data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery, and Kimball data modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java, along with strong SQL skills.
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and constructing scalable data solutions.
• Ability to write tested, resilient, and well-documented code.
• Experience in constructing and maintaining cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS is a plus).
• Capacity to take ownership and lead projects from inception to completion.
• Natural talent for managing multiple initiatives and clients simultaneously.
• Proficient in writing analytical SQL, with a clear understanding of the distinction between functional SQL and performant SQL.
• Experience in converting business requirements into technical solutions.
• Capability to communicate complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
• Experience in providing technical guidance and direction on projects.
