Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Design and implement contemporary data architecture strategies that align with business goals and deliver comprehensive data solutions.

• Construct complex data processing pipelines to solve intricate client challenges.

• Work in partnership with data scientists to create scalable versions of their models.

• Produce clean, iterative code utilizing Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Apply continuous delivery methodologies for the deployment, support, and management of data pipelines.

• Utilize distributed storage and computing technologies effectively.

• Create data models employing suitable modeling techniques and technology stacks.

• Collaborate on initiatives concerning data governance, security, and privacy.

• Embed data quality considerations into everyday workflows.

• Act as a cornerstone for functional work streams, ensuring timely project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with the Databricks platform.

• Experience in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Capability to construct and manage data pipelines while overseeing data storage in distributed systems.

• Practical experience with data modeling and contemporary data engineering tools and platforms.

• Proven track record of writing clean, high-quality code in the preferred programming language.

• Experience in building and deploying large-scale data pipelines and data-centric applications using distributed storage and processing platforms in a production environment.

• Familiarity with data visualization methods and effectively conveying insights to relevant stakeholders.

• Knowledge of data-driven methodologies, along with data security and privacy strategies.

• Proficient in SQL, NoSQL, data lakes, and data schema design.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of liaising with clients and key stakeholders.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and manage risks or conflicts effectively.
