This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of comprehensive data systems and pipelines that serve the needs of various teams and customers.
• Design and implement data integrations across diverse backend business systems to ensure efficient and reliable data flows.
• Engage in streaming data processing utilizing frameworks such as Apache Beam to manage real-time data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless data access and sharing among internal teams and platforms.
• Oversee the orchestration and automation of workflows using Airflow on Kubernetes.
• Establish a clear definition of "correct" for the data you manage, supported by monitoring, alerting, and integration tests.
• Create reusable patterns and components (hooks, plugins, alerting utilities) that can be easily adopted by other engineers and processes.
• Decompose ambiguous tasks into actionable steps, identify edge cases and failure modes early, and clarify requirements with stakeholders.
• Articulate trade-offs, assumptions, and risks effectively during design reviews and pull requests.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience with Airflow.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Strong familiarity with our existing technology stack: Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
