Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement architectural solutions that enhance the speed and scalability of data pipelines, including the design and enforcement of the Medallion Architecture or similar tiered frameworks.

• Spearhead the adoption of managed and serverless cloud services to build efficient and scalable cloud-native application solutions, utilizing lakehouses and data warehouses.

• Promote best practices for advanced ETL/ELT workflows, data governance, and data quality across platforms, employing tools such as dbt and Fivetran for job orchestration and code execution from notebooks.

• Act as a technical leader by defining and enforcing data security and access control policies across all data pipelines and platforms.

• Serve as a technical authority, ensuring robust systems across diverse technology environments and BI integrations, including Tableau, Looker, and Power BI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of hands-on experience in the Data Engineering field.

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly 5+ years with AWS and Azure.

• Proficient in Python and highly skilled in SQL, with knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java being a plus.

• Significant experience in designing and constructing robust CI/CD pipelines and managing Infrastructure as Code.

• In-depth expertise in optimizing ETL/ELT processes, dimensional data modeling, and implementing data security best practices.

• Proficient in 3–5 major cloud and data platforms, with exposure to AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and Fabric.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
