Senior Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines along with ETL/ELT processes.

• Contributing to the design and implementation of a new data platform.

• Operating within both greenfield and brownfield environments.

• Leading discussions on development and defining engineering standards and patterns.

• Evaluating and analyzing existing data processes.

• Collaborating with teams across various functions.

• Enhancing the performance, observability, and reliability of data pipelines.

• Assisting in documentation efforts to ensure scalability and platform adoption.

• Offering technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

• Serving as a technical subject matter expert in both internal and client-facing discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.

• Over 6 years of experience in building production-grade data systems.

• Extensive experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, preferably AWS.

• Strong skills in SQL and data modeling.

• Proficient in Python engineering.

• Experience with Docker and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or similar.

• Background in modernizing or migrating legacy systems.

• Proven capability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

• Adequate understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
