• Design, manage, and continually enhance a scalable data platform (warehouse / lake / lakehouse)
• Create and sustain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to assimilate a diverse range of data sources
• Maintain high standards of data quality, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Establish monitoring, governance, and security protocols (inclusive of GDPR compliance)
• Collaborate closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams
• Automate data workflows and consistently refine existing architectures
• Actively engage in shaping the data strategy and assess new technologies
• Several years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL with a solid understanding of engineering standards (testing, CI/CD)
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary data architectures and data modeling
• Practical experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and popular data tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark, Snowflake)
• Strong quality focus and ownership mentality for production data pipelines
• Capability to clearly articulate technical solutions and translate business needs
• Team-oriented individual with a passion for mentoring and ongoing development
• Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in German is an advantage
