Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows utilizing Python and AWS tools.

• Produce high-quality production-grade Python code.

• Develop and enhance analytical data models.

• Create and manage dashboards in Looker and/or Tableau.

• Contribute backend application code using Java or Python.

• Advocate for modern AI coding practices within the data team.

• Write and maintain comprehensive SQL assets.

• Manage and optimize AWS data infrastructure.

• Work closely with clinical operations, product, finance, and engineering teams.

• Establish data quality frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a combined data/backend software engineering position.

• Strong foundation in software engineering.

• Proficient in Python at an expert level.

• Proficient in SQL at an expert level.

• Practical experience with AWS data services.

• Experience with MySQL/Aurora in a live production setting.

• Hands-on experience in constructing and managing data pipelines using AWS Glue, Spark, dbt, Airflow, or similar frameworks.

• Extensive familiarity with at least one modern BI platform.

• Solid grasp of data modeling techniques.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted coding tools.
