Senior Data Engineer – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage production data platforms utilizing Azure SQL, on-premise SQL Server, Azure Storage, Microsoft Dataverse, and Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.

• Construct and uphold ingestion pipelines through SFTP file drops, APIs, CDC or SQL Log Shipping methodologies, and Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools.

• Develop and refine analytic data models employing star, snowflake, Data Vault, or hybrid techniques.

• Execute automated data quality checks, validations, and alerts throughout pipelines and semantic layers.

• Establish effective data governance utilizing Microsoft Purview or comparable tools.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps to minimize manual tasks and enhance repeatability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of practical experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture.

• Proficient SQL skills with extensive experience in Azure SQL and/or SQL Server.

• Demonstrated experience in building and managing production data pipelines, preferably with Azure Data Factory.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric semantic models.

• Proven experience managing PHI or PII in regulated settings with auditability and access controls.

• Clear evidence of owning systems from start to finish rather than merely contributing to isolated components.
