Senior Data Engineer, AI & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will design and take ownership of the architecture and implementation of scalable ETL pipelines utilizing Microsoft Fabric, ensuring the effective and automated integration of diverse data sources, including MySQL databases, APIs, and more.

• A key aspect of your role involves designing, planning, and executing AI and automation projects.

• You will contribute to the ongoing evolution of our data warehouse architecture by continuously adjusting data models and structures to meet new requirements.

• You are responsible for developing robust processes for data modeling, ingestion, and production, creating a stable foundation for reporting, analytics, and AI applications.

• Maintaining high standards of data quality, security, and reliability is crucial, ensuring integrity, availability, and confidentiality throughout the entire pipeline.

• You will stay informed about trends and technological advancements in data engineering, AI, and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field provides the foundation of your technical knowledge.

• With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, you possess a comprehensive understanding of the development and implementation of modern ETL pipelines.

• You have practical experience with automation tools such as Azure Logic Apps, n8n, or Make, and utilize them effectively for process automation.

• You possess knowledge of working with Large Language Models and familiar patterns related to generative AI.

• A strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric or Microsoft Data Factory, Apache Spark, and notebooks is a key component of your technical skill set.

• You have extensive expertise in MySQL and are experienced with various databases and data warehousing solutions.

• A proven track record in batch processing and working with structured data (preferably in the real estate sector) completes your profile.

• You are eager to further develop your skills in Power BI and continue expanding your expertise.

• Fluency in German and proficient English skills enable you to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
