
Senior Data Center Construction Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise all stages of data center construction, from design evaluation to commissioning and handover.
• Work in partnership with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors to fulfill project specifications and timelines.
• Assess design drawings and technical submissions for adherence to company standards and operational needs.
• Manage change control, monitor progress, and ensure budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Engage in Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests for UPS, chillers, generators, and switchgear.
• Coordinate with local authorities, utility companies, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure that permits, licenses, and inspections related to building, fire, electrical, and environmental regulations are completed on time.
• Maintain adherence to local codes, safety regulations, ISO standards, Uptime Institute, and TIA-942 best practices.
• Oversee documentation and reporting necessary for occupancy certification and operational approvals.
• Lead commissioning efforts and validate electrical, mechanical, BMS, and security systems.
• Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) for facility systems.
• Train operations teams on site-specific systems, monitoring tools, and safety protocols.
• Ensure a seamless transition from construction to operational phase, with comprehensive documentation and warranty records.
• Manage daily facility operations, preventive maintenance, and vendor relationships post-commissioning.
• Monitor and enhance Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and energy efficiency.
• Implement improvements for sustainability and reliability, as well as capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards throughout facility operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically in data center or colocation infrastructure.
• Background with a general contractor, colocation provider, or hyperscaler.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Strong grasp of construction processes, quality assurance, and design coordination.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Must have authorization to work in the country of application and provide proof of employment eligibility.
