Senior Data Architect – Digital Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee solution design and architectural choices for medium to large client projects involving data platforms, pipelines, and AI-driven workflows.

• Evaluate current enterprise architectures, identify shortcomings, and formulate future-state roadmaps.

• Create and present system diagrams, integration maps, architecture decision records, and technical standards.

• Assist engineering teams during implementation and actively participate during critical phases.

• Provide mentorship to engineers regarding architectural choices.

• Conduct discovery workshops with client engineering, data, and IT stakeholders.

• Assess cloud data platforms, frameworks, and third-party integrations.

• Design distributed data pipelines, composable platforms, and API-first ecosystems that incorporate AI/ML capabilities.

• Connect marketing data sources, such as GA4, advertising platforms, CRMs, and CDPs, to analytics and machine learning workloads.

• Ensure architectures align with enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements.

• Address and mitigate architectural risks.

• Assist with technical pre-sales, RFP responses, SOW development, and executive solution presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software or data engineering.

• 2+ years dedicated to architecture or solution design.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, APIs, data platforms, and modern technology ecosystems.

• In-depth expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing and ETL tasks.

• Experience in designing scalable, maintainable distributed systems and API ecosystems at an enterprise level.

• Familiarity with integrating AI/ML capabilities into data pipelines.

• Exposure to generative AI applications.

• Practical experience with AI-powered coding tools, agentic engineering, and AI-enabled workflows.

• Knowledge of data governance, privacy compliance, and security best practices.

• Experience collaborating directly with client technical teams and translating business requirements into architecture.

• Skilled in producing and presenting architecture artifacts to both technical and executive audiences.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities and the capability to build technical consensus across engineering, business, and creative teams.
