Senior Data Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create impactful reporting and analytics that enhance visibility into business operations while leading initiatives to automate reporting processes.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to foster a deeper understanding, visibility, and utilization of business metrics, promoting self-service analytics.

• Conduct ad hoc data exploration and analysis to address immediate business requirements.

• Spot opportunities to enhance data quality, performance, and observability.

• Assist in the establishment of standards for best practices in analytics engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or roles focused heavily on analytics.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, bioinformatics, etc.), or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficient in advanced SQL, with a solid grasp of CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.

• Proven experience collaborating directly with business teams to align on KPIs, define requirements, and provide valuable insights.

• Proficient in writing and maintaining data dictionaries, dbt Docs, or internal wikis.

• Capable of designing and developing BI assets that are both explainable and sustainable, whether they are Excel spreadsheets, BI dashboards, or PowerPoint presentations.

• Experience with Python and shell scripting is advantageous.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows for data engineering projects.

• Experience utilizing DBT/DBT core.

• Familiarity with various BI tools (e.g., Looker, Mode, Tableau).

• A curious, self-motivated, analytical individual who is enthusiastic about working with data.
