This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement data strategies and analytical initiatives within the enterprise data platform.

• Collaborate with leaders from business units and Product, Data & Technology teams to evaluate data and analytics requirements.

• Gather data requirements and investigate internal records and publicly accessible data sources.

• Acquire private data sources to fulfill business needs.

• Determine translation and transformation necessities for acquired data.

• Enhance the quality of sourced data through curation, validation rules, and the upkeep of Master Data tables.

• Sustain the Logical Data Dictionary, including lineage, stewardship, custodianship, versioning, and audit-trail details.

• Reconcile and verify dashboards and reports.

• Document both functional and non-functional business requirements for data collection, loading, transformation, curation, processing, visualization, and distribution of insights.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automate manual tasks, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure to support scalability.

• Provide actionable insights regarding customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and metrics of business performance.

• Identify Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and establish rules for masking, processing, and access control.

• Document Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) and requirements for high availability and data architecture recoverability.

• Evaluate the accuracy of new data sources and data collection methodologies.

• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and outline processes for monitoring the performance and accuracy of the data warehouse.

• Mentor junior data professionals and share reusable artifacts and domain expertise.

• Engage in stakeholder reviews and design sessions.

• Provide data, reports, and insights to management.

• Track trends and technology-related issues, developing cross-functional solutions.

• Address high-level challenges as needed.

• Monitor platform usage, database sizes, computing resources, and third-party expenses.

• Advocate for data transformation and innovative working methods.

• Manage communications, partnerships, and relationships with senior leadership and staff.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field is mandatory.

• Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Analyst roles, including at least two years in a senior technical capacity.

• Proficient in eliciting business requirements, documenting user stories, analyzing data sources, and evaluating data quality.

• Expertise in data analysis, technical documentation, logical data dictionaries, data validation rules, acceptance criteria, SDLC methodologies such as Scrum, and IT Service Management (ITSM) – ITILv4.

• Experience in identifying data integration requirements using ETL tools and modern data pipelines.

• Familiarity with querying and analyzing SQL relational databases, including AuroraDB, IBM DB2, MemSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and Snowflake.

• Experience with querying and analyzing NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, and MongoDB.

• Skilled in collecting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in various formats from internal systems and external providers.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft SharePoint.

• Experienced in performing root cause analysis on data and processes.

• Strong analytical, data governance, communication, leadership, interpersonal, team-building, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.

• Ability to think critically and assess facts, data, downstream impacts, and associated risks.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and methodologies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud applications, and third-party software tools.

• Commitment to company values.

• Ability to follow and apply established process protocols.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

• Willingness to travel 5% of the time or less.

• Must primarily be able to work in a sedentary position and frequently use a computer keyboard and mouse.
