This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engineer and oversee the management of Tenable, Splunk, McAfee, and various other security tools.
• Assess, test, recommend, coordinate, monitor, and uphold cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems.
• Administer cybersecurity infrastructure and access controls for hardware, firmware, and software.
• Ensure alignment of cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures with established cybersecurity standards.
• Identify security risks and vulnerabilities while determining the causes of security violations.
• Formulate procedures aimed at preventing future incidents and enhancing security measures.
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits related to cybersecurity.
• Evaluate and test hardware, firmware, and software to assess their impact on system security.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents including intrusions, fraud, attacks, leaks, and more.
• Triage security events and coordinate incident responses with incident management, IT operations, network engineering, and application teams.
• Diagnose, isolate, and analyze issues utilizing historical database records.
• Engage in security engineering, system configuration hardening validation, and evaluations of classified information systems.
• Assist in assessing the security posture.
• Monitor trends, threats, and vulnerabilities in the cyber landscape.
• Develop, integrate, and sustain security toolsets.
• Notify management regarding recurring issues and problem patterns.
• Active Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
• U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
• A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with Tenable.
• Over 5 years of experience with endpoint protection software such as Symantec, McAfee, or CrowdStrike.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Splunk.
• Exposure to or the capacity to learn ticketing and reporting systems.
• Exposure to or the ability to learn both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Capability to work with classified information systems.
• Travel requirements are less than 10%.
