This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assist with assigned cybersecurity services, controls, and ongoing operational tasks.
• Oversee and advance incidents, investigations, tickets, security assessments, and stakeholder inquiries.
• Evaluate cybersecurity challenges and document findings, associated risks, and suggested actions.
• Complete designated tasks within agreed timelines, providing appropriate documentation.
• Identify gaps in controls, service issues, and persistent problems, escalating significant concerns promptly.
• Aid in the coordination of major cybersecurity incidents and investigations.
• Take ownership of specified project actions, deliverables, and smaller work packages.
• Monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and pending actions.
• Coordinate delivery efforts with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide precise updates for dashboards, governance reviews, and management reporting.
• Support risk management, remediation, audit, and assurance activities through to completion.
• Maintain procedures, operational records, and knowledge resources.
• Assist in transitioning completed projects into well-documented and sustainable services.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to improvements in service delivery.
• Lead specific activities, chair meetings, or offer operational updates as delegated.
• Support colleagues with knowledge sharing and practical guidance.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, IT operations, or a related field.
• Practical understanding of cybersecurity principles, risks, and controls.
• Experience in supporting operational services, technical activities, projects, or investigations.
• Ability to analyze data and draw evidence-based conclusions.
• Proficient in communicating technical matters in clear, business-friendly language.
• Strong written communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities.
• Capability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset when working with technical teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Willingness to take responsibility, accept feedback, and develop new skills.
• Strong dedication to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical decision-making.
• SEC+, CC certification, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in cybersecurity operations, governance, risk, assurance, project, or service delivery is preferred.
• Familiarity with recognized cybersecurity and risk management frameworks is preferred.
• Experience in supporting incidents, investigations, audits, or remediation activities is preferred.
• Experience working with cybersecurity suppliers or managed service providers is preferred.
• Experience in producing procedures, operational reports, or management updates is preferred.
• Relevant cybersecurity, technology, or risk qualification, or progress towards one, is preferred.
• Experience in a complex, enterprise-scale, or geographically distributed organization is preferred.
