This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Actively engage in the Field Center of Excellence while positioning Optiv services alongside our primary Secure Networking (Cloud/Network/SASE/OT) technology partners and their offerings to provide value to clients.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure access to essential domain specialty materials that deliver a unified and thorough approach.
• Work effectively with various client personas within the security team and other relevant stakeholders to develop security strategies and outline roadmaps that align with business objectives, budgetary considerations, and metrics based on return on investment.
• Cultivate advisory relationships with key client stakeholders by providing thought leadership, support, information, and guidance in collaboration with sales partners.
• Foster strong working relationships with pertinent Optiv technology partners, based on client expenditure and Optiv focus.
• Design and create comprehensive security programs to meet client goals across technology and services, including initiating new discussions through peer and industry network contacts, conducting requirements gathering analysis, and coordinating technology demonstrations and evaluations.
• Interface and collaborate with internal Optiv teams, especially service delivery liaisons, to align client expectations with the full Optiv solution portfolio, ensuring excellence in service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Solicit client feedback and consistently share insights with internal teams to assess and promote ongoing improvement.
• Engage in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities.
• Participate in managing and prioritizing the proposal process to create business proposals, contracts, and respond to RFI/RFPs.
• Pursue personal development by enhancing and acquiring technical skills, soft skills, and security-specific knowledge through formal education, certifications, and additional resources.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least eight (8) years in an information security position, such as architect or engineer, responsible for the planning, building, and maintenance of secure Network, OT, and Cloud environments.
• Experience with Network, OT, and Cloud Security technology partners in key areas, including firewalls, segmentation, ZTNA, visibility, SASE, CNAPP, WAF, DDoS protection, load balancing, and posture management.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience architecting, building, and maintaining network security technologies in production environments, addressing concepts like high availability, mesh networking, asymmetric routing, virtual private cloud, and auto scaling.
• A highly motivated self-starter who does not require daily supervision.
• Ability to thrive in a highly adaptable and agile team environment with responsive communication.
• Comprehensive understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive measures.
• Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to lead discussions focused on technology.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills when interacting with clients, including whiteboard sessions and other presentation formats.
• Proficient in sales techniques; able to make connections, facilitate meetings, read the room, ask insightful questions, overcome objections, build trust, maintain composure under pressure, position solutions, and assist in closing sales.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and client deliverables.
• Keeps a broad knowledge of security-related topics and continually expands expertise in other areas across the portfolio.
