Senior Cyber Incident Responder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and deliver expert technical assistance to cyber defense technicians across the enterprise to address cyber defense incidents.

• Manage escalated incidents while acting as a subject matter expert.

• Analyze incident data to pinpoint specific vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for swift remediation.

• Review log files from various sources to detect potential threats to network security.

• Conduct triage of cyber defense incidents to assess scope, urgency, and potential impact.

• Carry out trend analysis and reporting for cyber defense incidents, advising leadership on measures to mitigate future risks.

• Execute initial, forensically sound image collection and examine for possible mitigation or remediation options.

• Carry out real-time incident handling tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams.

• Receive and evaluate network alerts from multiple sources within the enterprise to determine potential causes.

• Document and track cyber defense incidents from initial detection to final resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Malware Analysis, Digital Forensics, Data/Network Analysis, Penetration Testing, Trend Analysis, or Information Assurance.

• 5 years of experience in Cyber Incident Handling.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, software engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or a related field is required.

• Substitutions include 6 years of experience in information security and systems analysis.

• Must possess Cyber Incident/Security Certifications or ITIL, along with two of the following certifications: CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GCFE, GNFA, GREM, or GCCC.
