
Senior CSA Estimator – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and oversee cost plans and detailed estimates from the initial concept through the comprehensive design phases across various locations.
• Conduct estimate reviews with both internal and external teams.
• Deliver updates on milestone costs (concept, schematic, DD, CD) while effectively communicating the basis of the estimate, assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, and associated risks.
• Lead quantity takeoffs and cost verifications for intricate, multi-package CSA scopes; ensure consistency between scope, drawings/models, and the estimate.
• Provide program-level estimating for defined scopes, integrating inputs from multiple projects/campuses to support decisions at the portfolio level.
• Review contractor pricing (bids, pay applications, change orders); carry out comparative analyses and prepare recommendations.
• Drive benchmarking and cost modeling; develop, maintain, and utilize historical cost data and metrics; assist in life-cycle cost (LCC) analyses.
• Facilitate value engineering (VE); create cost/benefit alternatives and support feasibility and early-stage cost modeling.
• Assist in procurement and preconstruction activities, including prequalification, bid list development, bid analysis, tender reporting, and contract documentation.
• Collaborate with cost management, procurement, and project controls to ensure estimating outputs align with budgets, commercial strategies, and program-level planning.
• Evaluate design changes and provide timely updates to estimates with appropriate accuracy levels.
• Mentor and coordinate support staff; contribute to the development of training materials, templates, and both internal and external estimating tools.
• Prepare content suitable for leadership for client preconstruction and estimating presentations.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
• Strong understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, such as value management and value engineering.
• Experience in a construction cost management position, such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.
• Background in providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services within a construction management or related firm.
