Senior Credit Controller – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Accurately and efficiently input data while ensuring quality checks on cash receipts, and supporting data cleansing and mass change processing initiatives.

• Manage premium collections, check deposits, direct debits, commission payments, discounts, and overpayments.

• Reconcile discrepancies in client and broker accounts, disburse cash, recover overdue debts, and manage relationships with brokers and partners according to contract specifics or intermediary roles.

• Uphold exceptional service standards and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries within set deadlines.

• Send out monthly statements of overdue accounts to clients and address any questions promptly.

• Input regulations into the computer system, manage outstanding items, supervise procedures, and clear unresolved financial transactions.

• Evaluate aging reports and manage assigned portfolios.

• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge and expertise, contributing to best practices and procedural support.

• Offer support, mentoring, and guidance as required.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Hold a degree or possess a professional qualification in a finance-related field.

• Previous experience in credit control is essential.

• Proficient in written and spoken Spanish, Portuguese, and English.

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for complex data analysis and effective decision-making in both business and technical contexts.

• Possess a positive attitude, results-oriented mindset, and the energy and determination to thrive in a fast-paced environment where speed and quality are paramount.

• Exhibit strong writing and editing capabilities with keen attention to detail; able to produce high-quality work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.

• Demonstrate patience and respect towards clients while maintaining a professional firmness in debt recovery.

• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
