Senior Credit Controller – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Accurately and efficiently input data while performing quality checks on cash receipts, assisting with data cleansing, and managing mass change processing projects.

• Manage collections of premiums, check deposits, direct debits, commission payments, discounts, and overpayments.

• Reconcile discrepancies in client and broker accounts, disburse cash, recover overdue debts, and oversee brokers and partners according to the nature of contracts or intermediaries.

• Uphold exceptional service standards and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve inquiries within specified deadlines.

• Send monthly statements of overdue accounts to clients and promptly address any questions.

• Input regulations into the computer system, manage unpaid items, supervise procedures, and clear outstanding financial transactions.

• Analyze aging reports and manage allocated portfolios.

• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge and skills, contributing to best practices and procedural support.

• Offer support, mentoring, and guidance as required.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Hold a degree or a professional qualification in a finance-related field.

• Previous experience in credit control is essential.

• Proficient in both written and spoken Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities for complex data analysis and effective decision-making in business or technical matters.

• A positive mindset, results-oriented, with the energy and determination needed to thrive in a fast-paced environment where speed and quality are crucial.

• Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail; capable of producing high-quality work under pressure and managing workload to meet tight deadlines.

• Demonstrates patience and respect towards clients while maintaining professionalism in debt recovery.

• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
