This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Define the strategy. Oversee the advertising creative strategy across Meta and YouTube (with TikTok and Pinterest to follow as we grow), from initial concept to weekly launch.
• Lead the team. Manage and nurture a small team of in-house creators, video editors, and designers, along with contracted freelance talent — providing briefings, reviews, and direction that elevates each advertising sprint.
• Craft persuasive content. Develop hooks, scripts, and creative briefs rooted in consumer psychology and direct-response principles, rather than just trends.
• Conduct thorough research. Analyze customers, competitors, and market trends (which includes monitoring competitor advertisements) to uncover valuable creative angles for testing.
• Embrace relentless testing. Implement a structured, weekly testing schedule — monitoring hook rate, CTR, CPA, and ROAS — and leverage the data to determine what to refine, expand, or discontinue.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with media buying, marketing, and brand teams to ensure all assets align with strategy and branding.
• Cultivate your team. Mentor and develop your team's skills while managing multiple campaigns in a dynamic, high-expectation setting.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance creative, growth marketing, or advertising creative strategy.
• Extensive experience in developing advertising creative for Meta, including formats such as short-form stories, reels, static images, and videos.
• Significant YouTube advertising experience, covering various formats like six-second bumpers, YouTube Shorts, creator-led paid videos, testimonial ads, and Demand Gen creative.
• At least 2 years of experience in direct management of individuals — whether as direct reports, an in-house creative team, or a group of freelance creators and designers.
• Profound and practical understanding of consumer psychology and direct-response advertising principles (e.g., Schwartz, Ogilvy, Halbert).
• Familiarity with creative performance tools and workflows (such as Meta Ads Manager, Ads Library, Foreplay, Motion, North Beam, or similar tools).
• A portfolio or reel showcasing campaigns you have led or briefed, accompanied by performance context you can discuss.
