This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create persuasive case themes for defense litigation.
• Manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials independently.
• Oversee cases from strategic planning through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Take full responsibility for cases throughout the discovery and trial processes.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys of varying experience levels.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Build and nurture relationships with both existing and potential clients.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys.
• Represent manufacturers and corporate clients in high-stakes matters related to the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and consumer litigation throughout California.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved institution.
• Active membership with the State Bar of California is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of substantial litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
• At least 5 years of litigation experience focusing on Lemon Law defense cases.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation.
• At least 2 years of experience in General Liability defense.
• Capability to manage complete case handling responsibilities, encompassing all aspects of discovery and trial.
• Preference for candidates with experience in handling insurance defense cases.
• Familiarity with time management systems is essential.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to think and act autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Professional demeanor and appearance are expected.
• Experience in Lemon Law, automotive warranty, or complex civil litigation, especially involving the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act is advantageous.
• Valued experience representing manufacturers, automotive clients, or other product defendants; backgrounds in consumer advocacy or CRLA are encouraged.
• Annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for every extra tier.
